porkers
Hi Just seen the wee porkers on the site linked to this and was thinking of buying one but brfore I do I need to know all the in and outs as such. I have around 3rd acre of land which the pig would roam but the land is linked to my neighnours land.....would an electric fence deter Mr Pig from wandering? or would I need more sturdy fencing between him and my neighbours. My other problem is I am a fireman and work shifts and on rare occassions I am required to stay at work for two days. Would the pig get stressed if left and are the any feeders that I can buy that would enable the pig to feed itslf for that time, though I think my neighbours would keep an eye on it. I have been told that if I put food in the field in various places that would keep the pig happy and fed for a two days or so...is this correct...Also could you give me any ides of costs of pigs, costs of vets bills etc etc and ideas for housing...oh and would the pigs be ok with my ducks n hens? Thanks Pete Eaton
